not gonna sit around and complain after ALL of the amazing things I experienced this summer...
this semester is looking to be very busy with school, work, and the new internship I'll be starting. I'm going to be working at the Woman's Center here, basically doing activities with 5 year olds and under that have been either physically/sexually abused or witnessed family members in that situation. I'll be dancing, singing, coloring, doing arts and crafts with them! I dunno if this is the right way to describe it but I'm excited! I LOOOOOOVE kids and knowing that I'll be doing something to help them (hopefully) brings me a little bit of joy.
Other things on my agenda:
-Race for the Cure with my family once again in October!!
-Enjoying my Hispanic Cinema class where i get to sit and watch a movie every class meet. ahh... love movies..
-Still saving up for my Nikon D80
-Chilling out... my body needs it...

so as many of you have realized... i'm back from mexico city. didn't know it'd be such an interesting family visit... i actually got to travel to other towns outside of the DF so i have TONS of photos... yep... i may even share some on here
but first i gotta submit all the london/scotland ones. i am going to be very picky about it too... only submitting a few and getting rid of many of the others i've already submitted... i have to. my gallery looks a mess! they'll be posted on my myspace anyway and maybe i'll even expand my other gallery and link from here. we shall see. now back to submitting and deleting! ...woo!
fun updates:
-had a new camera to play with! my cousin from mexico wanted me to purchase a digital for her from here since its cheaper so she picked the sony cybershot 8 megapixel one! too freakin cool! i love it!! i played around with it for quite a while hehehe makes me want an upgrade on mine...
but nope! i won't cuz ...
-i am going to deposit 10 dollars each week toward my nikon d80 fund!! starting this week! i know 10 a week isn't gonna be much since i want that camera as soon as possible but at least i'll have some money saved up to help pay for it... weeeeee!!! i can't wait!! giggity giggity!!!!!!
london rocked!!! and scotland was beautiful i'm gonna start planning my next over the seas trip... yay!!!! my journey around the world has started...and with a bang! i'm ready to see what else is out there! i dont want to swamp my deviant with the 1000+ photos i took so the decent ones can be seen on myspace! ~~~~ so i finally received the list of roommates for my trip to London/Edinburgh in the summer and i am getting even more excited about it now! ... kinda nervous too cuz it's so damned expensive there! which means need to stop buying random crap here so i won't be afraid to splurge when i'm on the trip
i'll be leaving early May so that only leaves like 2 months of saving up...

just an update for those of you that i failed to mention to:
i applied to a study abroad scholarship before the end of last year.... and i am more than glad to say that i DID receive some help!!! about $840 to help pay for my trip... at this moment... my trip is paid for so now i'll just have to save for the tour expenses, and food, and maybe some souvenirs... and BEER! cuz my class will be going to a pub in Edinburgh for a grade
we'll be visiting quite a few museums such as madame tussaud's, freud museum, and the sites i'm most excited about are Bethlem Hospital and Edinburgh Dungeon! [link] [link] london hotel
